Scottish Christmas Walk Dec 7, 2019
Westies will take to the streets December 7 to show who are the best dogs from Scotland. Join Westie Rescue and over 200 Westies to wow the crowds who line the sidewalks to watch us go by. Bring a coat as this event is "Rain or shine" so dress accordingly!
Westies from all over the Washington DC area will be marching down the streets in full glory during the 49th annual Scottish Christmas Walk. Each year Westie Rescue invites all Westies to march behind our banner to show off in front of thousands who line the streets to view the Christmas season opening event. Each year for the past 26 years we have taken over the parade with up to 200 Westies, dressed in their kilts and coats. We are expected to help make 2019 a great show. Westies and their owners are encouraged to wear Christmas or Scottish finery. Will you join us?
Rain, Shine, or Snow!
All Westies will meet up at the Safeway 500 South Royal St at 9:30AM. At 10:00AM, we will move to our assigned parade spot. All of our four legged friends are expected to be there. We invite all Westies to join in and sniff a butt or two, three, or six!
